What Constitutes Healthy Food Diet?

Fresh and natural eatables are full of various nutrients. Fresh fruits and vegetables without cooking are good source of nourishing elements. Better if fruits are not peeled off because 70% of nutrients in fruits are contained in their outermost skin (Take care that these MUST be properly washed with lukewarm water before eating to nullify the effects of pesticides and chemicals present on the peel). If you peel apples or peers, you are throwing away vital nutrients and fiber. Same is the case with potatoes. Yes, you can peel orange, but eat it with maximum white skin – it is full of flavonoids.

  • Juices of fruits and vegetables should be taken fresh. At the maximum you can store juices in the refrigerator for not more than 30 minutes.

  • The same is true with grains such as wheat, gram and cereals. Best results are expected if sprouted whole grains are taken while cooking them to the minimum.

  • Processing of food also drastically lowers the nutritive contents. For example, wheat when converted into fine flour, it loses 80% of its protein content. The outer skin of wheat when taken out of the flour, the flour only contains carbohydrates and nothing else. The vitamins contained in wheat (95 % of vitamin B complex and 80% of minerals) are present in outer skin of the wheat.

  • Take two glasses of water before your major meals. It will make you to eat a little less. A Dutch study has established that taking this much water before meals will make you feel less hungry reultantly you will eat less which in turn reduce chances of obesity.

  • Ensure to take a lot of water at intervals. 10-15 glasses of fresh water must be taken daily. It will keep you healthy.

  • Always start your meals with salad preferably green salad.

  • At dinner always eat a little less than your actual hunger. Better if only salad and nourishing soup taken in the night. The dinner must taken at least before two hours before you go to sleep.

  • Excessive sugar, which is known as white poison, should be avoided as far as possible. It disturbs insulin production and becomes a main cause of becoming diabetic. Diabetes starts damaging vital organs of the body such as heart and kidneys. Processed honey is a better alternative to sugar.

  • Be in time for your meals. In today’s cut throat competition, people generally don’t have time to eat meals on time. Either they don’t take meals or switch to fried/junk foods, tea, coffee and cold drinks to satisfy their hunger. Change your habits – be in time for your food i.e. the healthy foods.

  • Shun smoking, alcohol, tobacco and junk foods. Every body knows that these things are harmful to the body.

  • Consult your doctor – if required take multivitamins to supplement your healthy food diet. This will compensate your body for deficiencies, if there are any.
