It is said “Eat water, drink food”. Which implies that water should be taken sip by sip and food should eaten slowly making it so fine by chewing in your mouth that it becomes just a fluid.
Don’t gulp or swallow water in large quantity at one time. It is important to spread out drinking of water fairly all day long at regular intervals. Make general schedule for drinking of water - commencing from early morning when the blood is most viscous till goin to bed for sleep. to prepare for the significant loss of water during sleeping. It is better to drink a glass of water every hour and that too slowly in small sips. Drink all the day to ensure that you are never thirsty at any time of the day because body organs need constant supply of water for proper functioning.
Intake of water for body is through foods and drinks. Normally we get 20% of water is from food and beverages and remaining 80% from plain water.
