Role of acids in human body

There are plenty of acids found in human body as well as in foods we eat.

There are few areas in body such as stomach and colon which have acidic fluids.  Urine is often acidic which comes from our foods and drinks and some times saliva is also acidic.

Hydrochloric acid is needed to digest proteins. The stomach contains hydrochloric acid (HCL) which it secretes to decompose the foods. It enables the body to break down proteins, activate important enzymes and hormones and plays an important role in the digestion, absorption and assimilation of a number of nutrients, including: Protein, Carbohydrates and fats, Vitamins and minerals. It kills most of the harmful bacteria that may be in the food and also protects against growth of bacteria in gut.It digests as well as disinfects. It acts as body's food processor and also body's food purifier.

Fatty acids are basic building blocks for the body's numerous enzymatic and hormonal functions

Essential Fatty Acids are important components of the entire nervous system and work to keep us mentally and emotionally strong.

Amino acids play crucial role in keeping our body healthy. They are    building block of protein in the body. Amino acids are functional and structural building block of human systems and give structure to body component viz. internal organs,  skin, membranes, muscles, organs , bones, hair, nails etc. They also play active role in maintenance of our central nervous system.
